Day 6 and final day of Workout A Ton!

POSE method Day 6 and an end to Workout a Ton



What a way to end the week than with Dr Mike's Pose method. Saturday was another fun class. Thank you to Dr Mike for coming out and helping us out with our running. We all can use better form and less time running.


I want to thank you all for your participation this year, next year we hope to make it a bigger and funner event. With your help we will have raised almost two Thousand dollars. All the money raised is going towards March of Dimes March for Babies. Because of you, more families who need help will be able to be helped.

Day 4&5 Workout-A-Ton!

Day four was Yoga at Yoga Groove and a big thanks to Cosmo and his gang for their support. The Yoga session was great and we had some first timers in my 6:30 session with Nicole (First time ever to attend any Yoga session) and Alicia and Denise who experienced Hot Yoga for the very first time. I believe Yvonne also enjoyed her first session along with Davis and Amy at the 5:30 class. A job well done to all.. All the girls in my class rocked it out, and did great.


On Day 5, the "fun" day, we went to Krav Maga, and the fun went out the window very quickly. For some reason Kerri decided to beat everyone up, but made the workout very fun and challenging. I personally have never attended a Krav Maga class, and so the kicking was new to me. I truly enjoyed the workout and currently I can not feel my hands. Hopefully, soon I can follow up and pick up some Krav.
Tomorrow is day 6 and the final day of the Workout-A-Ton, we wrap things up with POSE and Dr Mike. Pose has helped me personally with my running and hopefully will help me even more tomorrow.

A big thanks to everyone this week, with your generous contributions we will have raised over $1500.00 for March of Dimes, that combined with 7K at the Golf tournament, 10K will almost have been raised.

Crossfit Wed



Day 3: Crossfit Wednesday


Halfway done, today's workout was fantastic. A very special thanks to Brannon from Crossfit and Jim from Massage Envy for coming out and supporting March of Dimes. We had a wonderful workout again today, very short but very intense. Those eighteen minutes felt like two hours, but they were fun. It is always nice to wind down with a nice sports massage like we had today. Make sure to go see Brannon at Crossfit and take him up on his offer to try Crossfit out, they have some incredible workouts and great Diets..
Tomorrow for Day 4, we get to relax or sort of relax.. Tomorrow is Hot Yoga, and do expect to sweat, and feel very relaxed afterwards.

Day 2, Corp Fit Day!


Today was day two of the Workout-A-Ton and we had Corp Fit come out and do their thing. The workout was a fantastic stretching/Core workout. Thank you so much for Corp Fit for coming out and hope everyone enjoyed the 5 minute massages compliments of Massage Envy. A big thank you to Jim for coming out and relaxing people as they worked out hard today.

So, so far this week we had Justin's bootcamp which increased the blood and got the heart pumping, then topped it off with core/stretching followed by short intense intervals tomorrow when CrossFit comes out. Should be a fun exciting day tomorrow... After tomorrow, the YOGA is going to come in handy, it is going to be a good way to stretch out the muscles, relax the body and get ready for Krav..

Workout-A-Ton Day 1 underway!

2nd Annual Workout-A-Ton Day 1
Today was day one of the 2nd annual Spartan Workout-A-Ton and we had a great turnout. We had about 20 people show up today for Justin's bootcamp and Justin did not take it easy on anyone. The workout was about 40 minutes and was a bootcamp style workout, ending up with abs.
Tomorrow we continue with a double workout. We will have a core, stretching workout and then afterwards we will finish up with an optional 300 workout. The week has just started but there is much fun awaiting you.

As mentioned, we will have a raffle at the end of the week where I wlll pull names from a hat. You will get one entry per day you attend, and you can only win once. The names that are picked first in the event of double winnings, will be allowed to pick the prize they like. Should be a fun week of working out, see you at the battlefield.

Workout-A-Ton Day 1 Monday

The Workout-A-Ton is finally here, and Monday it all kicks off. Monday is going to be Justin's Boot-Camp. Justin is one of the top trainers at Gold's and runs bootcamps for Gold's members and then is one of their top trainers. We are very fortunate to have Justin join us on Monday and along with Justin, we will also have Rich Stone from City Blends joining us to discuss Supplements and nutrition. Rich is a competitive body builder and is the owner of City Blends. Monday should be a fun and exciting kick off to our fun filled week.

Camp for Wed April 14th

First of all I want to say how proud I am of each and every one of you.. Monday was a fantastic day and a true sign of what you have been able to accomplish with your own workouts along with the Spartanette camp.. First of all, a Big congrats to Crystal and Katy.. Way to go Katy on your first 10K and Crystal for shaving a whopping 9 minutes off your time.. Then we have Leslie, who dropped and knocked out boy pushups. Wow! You already have come a long way since day one.. Laura, WOW!! Really, a real pull-up? And finally, Joe (aka, Josephina) who was rocking out pull ups. Since last Feb, I have seen a huge transformation not only physically, but mentally and cardio wise.. I am just amazed.. Great job everyone.

Oh, btw we are on for camp today.. However, lets try and meet at 6:00! I have my fund raiser tournament tomorrow and today is a very very busy day.. In the event of rain, we are going to probably cancel today.. I will keep you all posted.
